George Culling: Facing the Music
Local author George Culling will be talking about his new novel, Facing the Music, published in April 2015.
Facing the Music combines two main features: the progressive musical development of three piano pupils over six years, and their struggles to overcome challenging situations that threaten to impede their progress. The stories they tell are, at various times, serious, sad, amusing, comic and informative. Their piano teacher, Angus McKenzie, becomes increasingly their philosophical guide and friend. But they know little of his earlier life, the secrets of which they will learn only after his death.
George has been playing the piano for about 80 years and teaching it part-time for thirty five.
Wednesday 30 September at 7.30pm in the Swifts Meeting Room, Haggis Gap, Fulbourn. Free entry.
