The Big Draw Event – Sunday 2 October 2016
A fun hands-on drawing festival for all ages
After last year’s hugely enjoyable day, this is Fulbourn‘s second year of participating in The Big Draw, the world’s biggest drawing festival with events all over the globe in October every year.
Family friendly, all ages (youngsters and adults) welcome, so do pop-in, stay as long as you like, and draw (still life, figure drawing (including actors in costume from The Railway Children – see below), observational, kinetic/mechanical and more), play drawing games, and contribute to the communal big ‘canvas’ on the floor in the middle of the hall. There will be plenty of help from artists on hand – but everyone CAN draw, it’s fun, helps us think, feel, imagine and explain. It helps us to understand our world and communicate ideas. Why not come along and give it a go – you will be in good company!
This year’s theme is ‘Putting Art into Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics’ – ‘Putting the steAm into STEM!’
Refreshments will be available all day for a small charge.
Materials will be provided, but if you have drawing paper, pencils, drawing boards or other materials to donate, or portable easels to lend, please let us know.
This is a Fulbourn Arts event.
Sunday 2 October from 11.00am to 4.30pm in the Townley Hall, Fulbourn Centre, Home End. Free
