A variety of woodwind octets and quintets varying from Farkas dances with a medieval flavour, Reicha and Pilss, to more well-known pieces by Elgar and Mozart.

A very enjoyable evening took place in Townley Hall with dancing to Nick Herrick’s Ceilidh band performing live with a caller to guide our moves! We hope to have the band back again for the 2022 Fulbourn Winter Festival.

This 2021 film is the heartwarming true story of Maurice Flintoff (played by the ever-popular Mark Rylance), who entered the 1976 British Open despite never having played a round of golf before!

A very well attended Holiday Cinema Showing to see the charming Disney animation ‘ENCANTO‘ on the big screen at Townley Memorial Hall.
PAST EVENT: Atelje Annual Art Show
The Atelje Annual Art Show was held again this year in Fulbourn Manor Stables (CB21 5RJ) on the weekends of June 2nd / 3rd and also June 9th / 10th as were the Open Studios in Fulbourn as part of July’s Cambridge Open Studios event. Map with all the details on our Art & Crafts webpage.
PAST EVENT: Grease (sing-along) June 23rd
Back by popular request, another joint Fulbourn Cinema / Fulbourn Institute Sports & Social Club event with a sing-along screening of the 1978 classic – Grease (PG). The event took place on Saturday June 23rd with Free entry for FISSC members and special price of only £5 for non-members.
PAST EVENT: The Pirates of Penzance – 3rd July
This major summer spectacular was a fantastic performance by the Illria Theatre Company (www.illyria.co.uk) of Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance.
It was a ‘bring your own picnic and chairs’ event in the garden of Fulbourn Manor. Thankfully the rain held off for the performance as over 400 of you had showed up!
PAST EVENT: Belfast (12) shown on June 10th
Replacing the postponed Phantom of the Open showing we instead showed the enthalling Kenneth Brannah masterpiece ‘Belfast’ (certificate 12) to a large appreciative audience in Townley Hall. More details about the film are on our Cinema page.
PAST EVENT: Piano Concert by young people – 15th May
Twenty very talented young people played piano music from the eighteenth century to the present in St. Vigors church to a large appreciative audience. Well over £1,000 was raised for the East Anglian Children’s Hospice.
